Collection: Blackwing

Revered as the ultimate pencil for creative professionals and enthusiasts alike, Blackwing pencils have a history as interesting as their design.

The iconic Blackwing 602 was a cult favorite among designers, writers, illustrators, composers and more for their smooth writing, long lasting graphite, and adjustable erasers.

Blackwings ceased production in the 1990s, but the love of the pencil continued, with single pencils being sold for almost $100 by collectors.

Blackwing lovers rejoiced in 2010 when Blackwings would begin reproduction under the Palomino company. Made true to that well-known quality and timeless design, they now come in four core pencils: Soft, Balanced Pearl, 602 Firm, and now Extra Firm.

Every pencil comes with a ferrule which firmly houses the eraser that can be adjusted  - whether you want to put in a fresh eraser, try a new color, or just extend the life of the eraser you already have by pushing it up. The unique square design keeps your pencil from rolling off your desk, and contributes to the design-centric look of the classic Blackwing Pencil.
