Victorian Puzzle Purses

$ 75.00 Sale

Popular during the 18th and 19th centuries, the Victorian puzzle purse is an intricately folded and interlocked letter often hiding a small love token. Its origins are linked to early Japanese paper folding and the practice of "letterlocking," where folding and tucking paper without a seal protected the letter's security.

In this class you will learn the folds needed to create the puzzle purse as well as decorate them in a way that guides the unfolding to reveal a secret message. Enjoy tea and classical music while creating with fellow Victorian enthusiasts.
