This intermediate level calligraphy class assumes prior knowledge of how to use a pointed pen or brush marker. If you've learned modern style lettering and want to further your studies or try a new tool, Copperplate is a lovely, traditional hand that stems from English Roundhand and was popular in the 18th and 19th centuries. The contrast between elegant hairlines and gentle swells will take your calligraphy to a more formal level while preserving legibility.
This hand-on class will use black or brown inks that may stain clothing.
This is an in-person class. All materials supplied.
If you would like to take the Brush Lettering/Modern Calligraphy class, register here and take both! Brush Lettering starts at noon and is two hours.
